Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’m thrilled to be interning with Hearts & Minds Sports Psychology this summer as a research assistant and content creator. I’m deeply passionate about mental health, wellness, and the science of performance and positive psychology, so I’m beyond excited for this opportunity!
Currently, I’m a senior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where I study psychology and education. I plan to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and become a licensed professional counselor. I also have goals to become a part-time college professor.I grew up in Houston, Texas, where I graduated with honors from Cy Woods High School and competed in tennis for eight years. My tennis journey took me to a top-20 ranking in Texas for girls’ 18s, an 8.6 UTR, and a year of collegiate Division II tennis. I’ve competed in national and international tournaments and trained at academies across the country.
Outside of tennis, I’m a professional skydiver with over 1,400 jumps. I teach others to skydive and am especially passionate about the mental side of the sport-helping people build confidence, overcome fear, and thrive under pressure.

I was raised in the Houston area and played competitive tennis throughout high school. I graduated from Memorial High School and will be attending Texas A&M next fall to major in Business at the Mays Business School. I also founded the charity Y’alloween, which provides Halloween costumes to kids and young adults in need. I am joining the outreach team at Hearts & Minds as an intern and will be working on expanding the Focus 5 app.

I’m a student-athlete at Gettysburg College studying psychology, education, and sociology, and I play for the women’s lacrosse team. Raised in Arlington, Virginia, athletics have always been a huge part of my life, from summers spent with the swim team to trips up and down the East Coast for volleyball and lacrosse tournaments. In high school, after experiencing challenges with my mental health and athletic performance, a coach encouraged me to seek help.
Receiving coaching and being introduced to sports psychology has enabled me to continue doing what I love and to develop my performance. I am passionate about helping others find relief in themselves and their sport and addressing mental health to help them reach their full potential. Areas of specific interest are in team culture and leadership, largely shaped by my personal experiences in various sports atmospheres and teams.
