Blessings in Persevering
Think twice before you wave the white flag

Ever have those moments and seasons where things just are hard? Nothing is going right... and you're met with frustration and road blocks galore?
Or is that just me? LOL.
Hearts & Minds got it's founding in 2018. In May of 2025, we will be celebrating our 7th year of operation, and I'm proud to say we have been in the app space for the past 4 years since the end of Covid times of 2020.
Setbacks and disappointments are temporary unless you give up. Then it's permanent. And let's be frank, sometimes those permanent doors that close are a blessing! I can be brutally honest and share with you that we've had our fair share of setbacks and disappointments.
Our app is now on evolution version 4.1 and we've come lightyears from where we started.
I could rant about the thousands of dollars invested that have not yielded a return yet................................
I could rave and share about how we've had team members join Hearts and Minds sharing the vision, mission, and heart we have for impacting lives through sport, and they have left suddenly when times have been hard.
I could share about how we've had over 1,000 users to date in through our app over the past few years....... but many are ghosts! (Seriously... where'd these people go! LOL)
I could also share for DAYS about how each little disappointment and setback has mentally hit me hard with frustration.
AND THEN I REMEMBER
The mom who shares with us through tears about how much of an impact our coaching has had on her daughter and her entire family about how the little lessons and coaching we've provided has made such a significant difference.
The athlete who we scholarshipped for 1 on 1 mental training because they didn't have the finances and they accepted a college scholarship, making them the FIRST ever college athlete to go off to school - thus changing the family trajectory!
My personal favorite is the coaches who pull me off to the side after doing group coaching and speaking thanking me for being able to equip them with new ways to reach their athletes.
A good reminder for these times...
A few weeks ago, I was reminded in my Bible studies something critically important.
"So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9 NLT
Whether you're a person of faith or not, take notice of the message of those two sentences.
There are blessings and good things in being perseverant.

My question for you my friend ...
What are you persevering through? Currently? When you had challenges to overcome in the past, has it shaped and encouraged you to be better?
Today, I leave you with a simple heartfelt message and thought.
What are you pursuing that is good that is WORTH persevering in?
Remember this the next time you begin to look down on your luck and frustration begins to have it's way with you.
You're hearing it from the mental coach who's been doing this job for 14 years now. :-)
You're not alone.
Remember.
Struggles are temporary. Giving up is Permanent.
If this moved you in any way, drop me an email or a note. I'd love to hear from you and be a voice of encouragement in your season and time of challenge.
